TEACHER:
Arrives promptly. Addressed by Mr. or Mrs. with last name.
Prepares and executes lesson plans. Submits ideas to KLASS coordinator prior to semester.
Maintains discipline, sending disruptive student(s) to the House Mom, if needed.
Are to contact the House Mom in the event of absence, so that the House Mom can arrange for a substitute. No paid absences.
Practices and presentations will be compensated at an hourly rate.
Request for materials made to KLASS coordinator prior to purchase. Receipt is to be submitted to LCHE treasurer for reimbursement.
Cleans up classroom after KLASS.
ASSISTANTS:
Arrives promptly. Addressed by Mr. or Mrs. with last name.
Stays with the assigned group at all times, walking to each class.
Actively assists the lead teacher in executing class plans.
Actively maintains discipline. Summons House Mom to pick up child(ren) for bathroom breaks or time outs, if needed.
Contacts KLASS Assistant Coordinator for substitute in absence.
Cheerfully greets parents at beginning and end of KLASS, during drop off and pick up.
HOUSE MOM:
Arrives promptly. Addressed by Mr. or Mrs. with last name.
Secures substitutes for teachers when needed. Subs, when needed.
Monitors halls between classes. Checks classrooms at the beginning of each class period.
Assists KLASS coordinator, teacher, and assisstants when needed; minor secretarial work.
Arranges for substitutes in absences.
Maintains contact with Director, when needed.
Distributes material to parents, when needed.
Picks up and drops off child(ren) for bathroom breaks and time outs during class.
Stays on premises at all times, primarily office area or monitoring grounds.
Treats minor injuries and keeps record, there of.
Proactively greets and aids parents during KLASS.
SUBSTITUTES:
Arrives promptly. Addressed by Mr. or Mrs. with last name.
If lead teacher, executes plans, as given by the teacher.
